Africa-US Presidential Forum Champions Article 5 for Peace and Article 7 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child

At 777 UN Plaza, a mother-daughter dynamic duo, H.E. Rev. Dr. Princess Asie K. Ocansey & Olufunmilola Serwa Babalola - Ara Ẹni, launched two works for personal and global healing: “Wonders from Ghana's Volta River” a children's trilogy. The first book of the trilogy is available in 16 bilingual editions. The second book, Royal Love 777: Heal Me, Heal My World, is a 7-day, 7x-a-day devotional with a foot-washing ceremony. The book also
calls for restoring day and night worship, as a gateway to great peace (Psalm 119:164-165).

The evening was anchored in humility, as Bishop Jerry Ayiku Demmer of Absolute Word Church, Denver, officiated the Servant Leaders' Foot-Washing Ceremony and Communion, modeling servant leadership. The Federation of World Peace and Love's Bell of World Peace and Love was rung, led by Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze, on behalf of the honorees and the distinguished guests present.

Multiple Grammy Award-winning gospel minister Jonathan McReynolds, closed the program at the piano with a moving rendition of his song “God Is Good.” Three children, under the auspices of Mrs. Yvonne Lamptey were commissioned as Ambassadors of the Wonders Declaration: The Right to the Right Name.

Princess Ocansey launched Royal Love 777, grounded in Scripture's “Kainos” (new) commandment, John 13:34, to love one another as Christ has loved us. Ms. Babalola, co-author, launched the children's trilogy. It is the story of a nameless fish and a wrongly named whale who find identity, family, community, and belonging. Grounded in Article 7 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the trilogy renews the call for the Wonders Declaration. It comes with a free Ghanaian name-chart tool, a popular Ghanaian game, and a completion certificate for young readers.

Honoring Dr. Joyce Banda
Dr. Joyce Banda, 4th President of the Republic of Malawi, was honored as a Global Servant Leader for Peace for her impactful partnership with the Africa-US Presidential Forum, founded by Princess Ocansey. Since 2022, the Forum has prepared nearly 100 Malawian women for STEM, AI, and MBA programs in the U.S. They attended top universities, including Duquesne, Pace, Stevens Institute of Technology, and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Several have graduated with master's degrees and now earn six-figure salaries in their fields.

Later that afternoon, at the UNGA81 Women's Lounge, Dr. Banda and Princess Ocansey were inducted into the Justina Mutale Foundation's UNGA81 Powerlist of the 100 Most Powerful and Iconic Women Leaders in the World, presented in partnership with former Mauritius President Dr. Ameenah Gurib-Fakim. Sierra Leone's First Lady, H.E. Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, was named among the Iconic leaders.
